HOTEL BROTHERHOOD

Hotel Brotherhood will be returning to the Hotel Havana in San Antone, on the 2nd of May in the year of the Water Dragon, 2012. The Havana is a wonderful old hotel in downtown San Antonio, and if you haven’t been there you should go… even if it’s not on the night of May 2nd…but maybe.

The last time we played there (with Judson Claiborne)….Baylor beat Washington across town in the Valero Alamo Bowl. It just happened to be the highest scoring bowl game in college football history, with Baylor winning in the end 67 to 56.  Great.

Deadbird Records is hosting their annual  SXSW Barn Party and Hotel Brotherhood will performing at 10pm on Friday March 16th, along with Weird Womb and The Silver Chords.  Hope I can still fit into that Hotel Brotherhood costume.  Can’t wait to meet the Treasure Mammal either….more below

Hotel Brotherhood will be opening for Leatherbag at Padre’s on March First. Leatherbag is from Austin, and we’ll welcome them with open arms and ears and doors.

Hopefully we’ll be down in Austin too…for a SX show or two, we’ll see.

Friday! Ross and Chris Hillen will be onstage with the El Cosmico Family Band doing a few songs with the other nice folks who will be playing a few of their songs with said El Cosmico Family Band, such as Amy Cook, Tift Merritt, Alejandro Escovedo, Ericka Wennerstrom, Adam Bork, Kat Edmonson, and Ben Kweller.  Needless to say there will be a great line-up of songwriters playing Friday night, and you probably will want to buy a first class ticket to El Paso or Midland, rent a car, drive to Marfa and get your ticket by about 9.
